Madness seems the only way out these days especially that brains, experience, hopes, commitment, qualifications and potential are of no weight or importance these days … the world has become so shallow & superficial that it literally is suffocating for fresh air.

Its good to win sometimes..

Hi there. Apologies at the outset for the delayed news of the game we had last week with our good friends ADP. I thot’ we are anyways out of contention because we haven’t been any fair in the chances at all.

It was after such a long time I was gettin’ into play- Common lets have some fun. It’s a quiet (quite??? Sorry it was roarin’) sunny day. A match with ADP in our home ground. Like Chargers never won a game in their home ground we never won a game in our home ground. Honestly chances were poor with few of the big players weren’t included in the playin’ XI. My only hope was that my team hasn’t lost their confidence after consecutive losses for about 7 matches. We had a miserable season so far it’s frustratin’ when you have good players & you don’t perform. Only expectations personally from my side was what a lot of cricket fans will be hopin’. I hope few big hitters in my team fire today, would love to see ‘em hit some out of the ground.

And I have a special mention of few players today: New joinees as well as a young guy outside our company. Welcome ‘em. Initially I was embarrassed for callin’ ‘em to witness we losin’ the match L Phew!

Actually we won the TOSS & elected to field. The reason bein’ off late all the teams in IPL whoever wins the toss are electin’ to field keepin’ in the mind they can chase out the target L Initially we thot’we made a blunder. Few geeks were pullin’ my leg as I need to lead the team anyways I thot’ I’d love to do so but I wasn’t much prepared for that.

The openin’ pair was awesome. We never got a break for 15 over’s I guess. I desperately wished I get a wicket. I’ve never wished so much for a wicket to fall all my life!. Most of the runs were from extras I can rather say 60% of the runs were from extras. Bowlin’ dept was considerably good thou’ we lack in backin’ the wicket. Pitch was def a diff one but I don’t want to blame on it like Shane Warne did the Rajasthan did. Fieldin’ was absolutely good we did manage to fetch couple of catches. After a tuff fight in the hot sun we were able to restrict ‘em for 192 with couple of hiccups like our friend Wicketkeeper bangin’ his head to the ball L Just kiddin’- He was perfectly good but just hurt himself in a perplex situation. Honestly my hand with bowl didn’t seem well today neither any of us except the new guy who was the clone of Slinga J.

After a breath; back again now it’s a crocodile festival for us. Chasin’ down the target of 192 in 120 balls in an impossible task as what we thot’ initially. Openers at the center didn’t perform well except Shyam. It was 80% we wanted to win the game & 20% they are lettin’ us win the game with considerin’ the extras. But how does it matter to us we just want to win the game J. By the time you realize it was 4 wickets down & now it was my turn. With huge task on my shoulder I just don’t wanna transfer the responsibility to someone else but to contribute equally for the team. My intention was to get a good stance with the ball. I was shoutin’ like a time bomb. Was goin’ crazy because I thot hittin’ huge shots was not the goal but to stay there until the end in order to at least mentally get the other team worried & target the loose balls to make is more for us. Likewise the game just continued with a good momentum. The only diff from mine & the other team was we considered lotsa extras but they didn’t. Most of the runs we hit were from bat. Its amazin’ to witness Shyam hit huge shots from the other side. At any given point we were never strugglin’ for runs- Just few umpires decisions favorin’ us we at last made is comfortably for the historic win. I call it historic because we never chased down this huge total & in 19 over’s is the myth.

Turnin’ point: The decision of S wicket was the turnin’ point.

Me: Hurray! Notin’ like fulfillin’ an impossible task. We proved it this time. It is very difficult chase 180+ when you lose early wickets. we def did lotsa mistakes, we considered lotsa extras honestly at some point we didn’t have a mere hope of winnin’. Shyam def gave a good start & maintained the RR equally. Thou’ we hit a few bumps but after all we have won the match. In this format, anythin’ is possible we just have to continue to be consistent that’s all.

ADP Captain: Yes, this is disheartenin’. I thot’we had controlled the game till the 19th over of the innings When we lost he toss & put the target of 192 we thot’we were quite on a high level. We never expected few players to hit out like this mad. We need to go through this obstacle & stay tighter. It’s good to have a bad game once in a while.

Shyam: Not bothered about winnin’ or losin’ But I was disappointed with our performance of last few matches & specially me not helpin’ the team with a good start. Definitely 193 was not a reasonable target to chase down in this humid conditions where pitch is behavin’ like a mad drunkard on the street. From the beginnin’ the RR was 10 & we never kept it down. So, finally the best deserves it. We won J Im happy.

Chargers might not won a match at home but we did at last J

Regrets or Lessons?

Life has changed a lot. I can’t even imagine what people did at red lights before cell phones. I can’t imagine what people used to do the first thing they switch on the system. Work has consumed a majority of life. We tend to pretend things.

Its so easy to smile. You just move a bit of your lip’s muscle and there it shows on your face. A smile. (: But is it true that every smiling face means a happy soul?)

I doubt so.

Common man! This is 2011. Just for an e.g. Ill tell you “When you smile people will smile back at you oblivious to the fact that you’re actually pretending. But when you cry people will ask you why? Whats wrong.” So, hence, proved.

I miss those days But Iam ok with the fact that I’m kinda out from those days. I appreciate that I can’t always have everything at my fingertips. Teaches me patience. In the last few years, I have learned to be happy with less, and to appreciate what I do have more. Not always an easy thing thou’

You get to change day by day you always have somethin’ new to learn. But at the same time life is all about lessons but not regrets. Something somewhere would happen only for a reason.
